Why it matters

OptimistFi's case is that DoorDash can keep expanding beyond restaurant delivery while turning scale into GAAP profit and cash. This filing leaves that case mixed. It reports an insider sale, but the sale followed a prearranged plan rather than a fresh discretionary move. The 8,738 shares were about 0.9% of the 930,211 shares Adarkar held before the trade, so the change was small. He still held 921,473 shares after the sale.

That makes this look more like an execution update than a change in the operating story. The filing also shows the sale was spread across several price bands. Weighted average sale prices ranged from $178.17 to $179.10 per share in the first block, $179.18 to $179.89 in the second, and $180.20 to $181.18 in the third. They ranged from $181.20 to $182.04 in the fourth block, $182.31 to $183.27 in the fifth, and $183.47 to $183.91 in the sixth.

The sale still reduces an officer's exposure to DoorDash stock, even if the plan was set in advance.

What's next

The next quarterly report is the main test for the case. Investors will watch whether DoorDash is still adding scale while moving toward GAAP profit and cash, which is the business result OptimistFi cares about. The Form 4 is dated 2026-09-30 and records the 2026-09-28 trades, so this is the latest insider snapshot for Adarkar.
