CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) Puts Vera Rubin Into Production

What happened

CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) put NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) Vera Rubin NVL72 systems into production with Cognition, the company behind the Devin coding agent. Cognition is the first disclosed customer running production workloads on the new platform.

Cognition compared the system with a GB200 NVL72 cluster. Its engineers measured 4.8 times more total token throughput for SWE-2 inference workloads and 3.8 times more output-token throughput for reinforcement-learning workloads. CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) also said Cognition moved from bridge capacity to thousands of GPUs for training and inference in less than nine months.

Why it matters

This is useful evidence because it combines new hardware, CoreWeave's operating software and a real customer's workload. More tokens from a rack can let a customer run more Devin sessions or research loops without waiting for the same amount of work. It also supports the argument that CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) can help customers adopt a new NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) generation without rebuilding their operating model.

The decisive investment question is economics, not the benchmark alone. A 4.8-times throughput gain does not mean 4.8 times more revenue or profit. CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) did not disclose the Vera Rubin system cost, Cognition's price, cluster utilization, contract value or gross margin. Those missing numbers determine whether performance becomes a better return on each megawatt and dollar of capital.

The strongest countercase is that Cognition ran the benchmark itself and is already using the system in production. That is more credible than a roadmap slide. CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) also reported 10 times more token throughput per megawatt than GB200 NVL72 on a separate DeepSeek R1 test at matched interactivity. That result is still a workload-specific performance claim rather than a financial result.

What's next

Watch for additional named customers, broader workload results and disclosures on pricing, utilization and margins. Evidence that Vera Rubin capacity raises revenue per megawatt while maintaining customer economics would strengthen the case. Limited adoption or higher system costs that absorb the throughput gain would weaken it.

The production deployment improves the technology case. The financial case still needs proof. This is an evidence update, not personalized investment advice.
